Yummy Hawaiian Dip with Sweet Bread
This Hawaiian Dip is a favorite around my family and friends. I got the recipes years ago from another friend.. and I share with everyone I know because it’s just that good!
2 loaves Hawaiian bread (it’s a sweet bread - bowl type)
8 ounces real mayonnaise
1 chopped green onion
2 tsp beaumonde spice
3 tbls parsley flakes
3 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic salt
2 big bags of chipped beef, chopped up
16 ounces sour cream
Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl (except the bread).
With one loaf of hawaiian bread, tear out the center to form a bowl. The dip will go into this when you are ready to add it. Tear the whole second loaf into bite size pieces for easy dipping and eating.
I use one empty loaf bag to store all the torn dipping pieces. The brand of bread I use comes with an aluminum tray, so, to make use of that I use the empty tray and place it on top of the bread bowl, upside down, to keep it safe when traveling. Great for a potluck or any type of gathering.
Make the day before, to allow all the seasonings to blend nicely.. though, you may want to make extra for everyone taking nibbles on it.. sure happens in my house!
